Like Crazy is out in theaters now and you possibly might have seen it, but I am still interested in sharing my review on the trailer. After watching the trailer, I thought it was a classic idea for a movie. Two kids falling for each other while there is a significant factor lurking in the back of their minds is the perfect synopsis for hopeless romantic audiences. The female character is in the States temporarily for school and will return back home to the UK after her visa expires. “What are we going to do after we graduate?”, one asks the other. This movie could possibly have a sad ending. It could end in tragedy with both of them hurt because their relationship does not end up working out. Like Crazy is the ultimate tale of long distance relationships. The two try to obtain their relationship, but of course their own lives makes this difficult. “I thought I understood it, but I didn’t; I knew the idea of it, of you and me.” This film articulates the risky act of falling for someone when there are factors in the way. When the male character visits his lover in England he says that he doesn’t actually feel like he is apart of her life, but only on vacation. I think this film will capture the actual complexity of long distance love.
